Who We Serve
Motive Behavioral Consulting provides individualized services for children, adolescents, and adults across a variety of needs and stages of life. Services are tailored to the individual and may support areas such as communication, emotional and behavioral regulation, independence, daily living skills, flexibility, safety, social participation, and challenging behavior. Whether seeking direct ABA therapy, caregiver support, or consultation for a specific concern, services are designed around the goals that are most meaningful to each individual and family.
Insurance carriers may cover ABA services with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). If you are seeking ABA services without an ASD diagnosis, self-pay may still be an option to receive services. See our page for more details
Our Services
Choose the Support That Fits You
Whether you need help with one specific concern or ongoing support, services can be tailored to your goals. There is no standard weekly hour requirement at Motive. Sessions may be brief and low-hour for a focused concern, or more frequent when additional support is needed. Not sure what you need? We can determine a starting point together.
01 Caregiver Training
For parents and caregivers who want practical support with behavior, skills, or daily routines.
Sessions are tailored to what you need. We can use our time to discuss current concerns, problem-solve situations as they arise, and adjust strategies together. If you prefer a more structured approach, we can set specific caregiver goals and follow a teaching plan with practice, feedback, and progress monitoring.
Support can focus on one concern or continue over time.
A good fit if: You want guidance you can use in everyday life, whether that means ongoing problem-solving or working toward clearly defined goals.
02 Direct Therapy with a BCBA
For individuals who would benefit from working directly with a BCBA on specific skills or behavioral concerns.
Therapy is tailored to the individual’s needs. Sessions can focus on a current concern that needs targeted support, or follow a structured teaching plan with specific goals, practice, and progress monitoring. Your BCBA will adjust the approach as needs and priorities change.
Caregivers can be involved to help skills carry into everyday life.
A good fit if: You or your loved one would benefit from direct, individualized support, whether for a focused concern or a set of ongoing goals.
03 Focused Assessment & Second Opinion
For a specific behavior you want to better understand or an existing behavior plan you want reviewed.
I’ll gather information relevant to the concern, assess what may be contributing to it, and provide a written report with individualized recommendations. We’ll meet to review the findings and discuss possible next steps.
A good fit if: You primarily need professional insight and recommendations without committing to ongoing caregiver training or direct therapy.
Service Locations
Telehealth
Meet virtually from the comfort of your home. Telehealth services may include caregiver consultation and training, direct support, assessment, and ongoing guidance. This option allows strategies to be developed and practiced within everyday routines while offering greater flexibility and accessibility.
In-Home
Services are provided directly in your home, allowing support to occur where many daily routines and behavioral challenges naturally happen. In-home services can focus on practical skills, caregiver coaching, behavior support, and individualized goals within the environment where they matter most.
Community
Support can extend beyond the home to community settings where skills are needed in everyday life. Services may take place in settings such as parks, stores, restaurants, or other community environments and can focus on independence, communication, safety, social participation, and navigating challenging situations.
